MARSHALL, Texas – Entering year two under head coach Chris Crawford, the East Texas Baptist University men's soccer team is looking to build on their 9-9 record last season. ETBU finished with their best record since 2002, and return a heap of last season's squad to help this season. ETBU has seven home matches at Cornish Field this season.
Their nonconference schedule will see ETBU compete in four of five road games. Their first two matches will be away at Schreiner and Texas Lutheran on Sept. 1 and 3 before returning to Marshall for their first home challenge vs. Hendrix College on September 5. ETBU rounds out their nonconference games with a road game at Centenary on September 9 although they will have one more during the conference season on September 26 when they travel to Millsaps.
ETBU’s conference schedule starts with Concordia and Mary Hardin-Baylor at home on September 14 and 16. Their next two games will be in Abilene as they will focus on McMurry Hardin-Simmons the next Thursday and Saturday. ETBU will have a home and away against Howard Payne with the road game being nonconference on September 28 before facing them almost one month later at home on October 26.

ETBU will finish their season with four away games at Texas-Tyler (Oct. 12), Ozarks (Oct. 14), Howard Payne (Oct. 26), and Texas-Dallas (Oct. 28) while playing their last three home games vs. LeTourneau (Oct. 7), Louisiana College (Oct. 19), and Belhaven (Oct. 21).
