RICHARDSON, Texas – Freshman Hannah Holt has been given an American Southwest Conference award for her play this year as she earned three awards. Along with Holt, Lauren Lee was named the co-Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year for the East Division.
Holt was voted as the ASC East Division “Freshman of the Year”, named to the All-ASC East Freshman Team, and was an All-ASC East Division Second Team. She was the top freshmen in the ASC this year in both divisions for scoring at ninth with 14.8 points per game. She was also second in free throw percentage (.798), fifth in steals (2.4 pg), and ninth in assists with 2.9 per game.
She led the team with 371 points and had four 20-point games. She scored a career-high 28 points vs. Texas Tyler on January 28 in Tyler, Texas, hitting four three-pointers and going 10-of-10 from the free throw line. In her last seven games, she averaged 18.9 points per game. Of the 25 games she started, she had 10 or more points in 21 games. She went to the free throw line 129 times and made 103 shots making 79 percent of her chances at the stripe.
Lee was voted the co-Sportsmanship athlete for the East Division for her play in all the games. She started 20 games and played in 25 games averaging 5.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
