RICHARDSON, Texas – Kaleigh Smith was named the fourth American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week of the season for the East Texas Baptist University women’s tennis team. Kate Bramlett, Tiffany Stankiewicz, and Elisa Kendall have been named the previous three times for ‘Player of the Week’.
Smith helped guide ETBU to sweeps of Schreiner University and Concordia University this past weekend. Smith went 4-0, only giving up points in singles play winning 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0. She later partnered with Bramlett at #1 singles for 8-2, 8-1 wins against both teams. ETBU has now won six matches in a row, and have only conceded five matches in those five games. ETBU has now shutout opponents in three straight matches.

ETBU tennis will return to action on March 9th against Centenary College. The matches will take place at 3:00 p.m. on the campus of ETBU.
