MARSHALL, Texas – East Texas Baptist University women’s tennis player Kate Bramlett has added another accomplishment to her impressive resume, adding CoSIDA Academic All-American to the list. Bramlett was named to the third-team, and is the lone American Southwest Conference student-athlete on the Division III Women’s At-Large Team.
This is the first CoSIDA Academic All-American selection for Bramlett. She graduated in May with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average with her degree in Kinesiology. Bramlett will attend the University of North Texas in the fall to begin Physical Therapy school.
Bramlett helped ETBU win their first ASC Championship and first NCAA Tournament match. Bramlett racked up over 100 combined win in her three years in singles and doubles play. She was named the ASC East Division MVP and Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year for the 2017 season, and earned ITA West Region Most Improved Senior. She is a three-time All-ASC East Division first-team selection and a two-time All-ASC selection.
Bramlett was 22-2 in #1 doubles, and 15-7 this season in #1 singles play.
