TAME | SB | Australia Recap #6

After seven days in Australia, the ETBU Softball Team spent their Sunday exploring Sydney as a part of the Tiger Athletic Missions Experience.

The morning began with the group attending church at Hillsong, where they enjoyed amazing worship and heard a sermon that was perfect for the trip and what the team has been studying this semester.

After lunch, the team made their way to the Harbor, where they visited a local zoo to see many native Australian animals and then spent some time at the outdoor market and shops and saw the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge.

This morning we attended a service at Hillsong Church where we got to listen to an inspirational message by Donna Crouch. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m incredibly grateful I was able to experience it with my team. After that we were able to explore the city of Sydney, which included a wildlife center where we got to see kangaroos, koalas, and lots of other really cool animals. We even got to pet a kangaroo. We then made our way over to the Sydney Opera House and ended the day eating dinner and having fellowship together overlooking the Harbor. It was nice to have a day to explore this beautiful city with my teammates and it’s been amazing becoming closer with these girls and the memories I’ve made will last me a lifetime. I had a great time, but I’m excited for tomorrow when we get to serve again, and I can’t wait to see what the rest our trip has in store for us.
