ACADEMICS | VB | Mosley Voted to CSC Academic All-American First Team; Four Name All-District

Mosley is the program's first back-to-back CSC Academic All-American

MARSHALL, Texas – History continues to be made for the 2024 East Texas Baptist University volleyball program as Graycee Mosley becomes the first student-athlete to be a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American first team member. She also becomes the first student-athlete to earn back-to-back honors. She is just one of seven student-athletes in NCAA Division III on the first-team as only 21 were named Academic All-American.

ETBU had four student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District team: Mosley, Avery Reid, Grace Williamson, and Lexi Moody. It is Mosley's second year in a row and Reid's third year to be named Academic All-District. To make the CSC All-District team, a student-athlete has to have a 3.5 grade point average and play in more than 75 percent of the matches. The college athletic communicators of NCAA Division III vote on the All-District and All-American awards.

Mosley was a CSC Academic All-American second-team selection in 2023 and became a first-team member in 2024. She is the first volleyball student-athlete to be honored in back-to-back years and joins Mallory (Sanders) Matthews (2016 – third team) and Brooke McGehee (2008 – second team) as Academic All-Americans.

Carrying a 4.0 grade point average as a Bio-Chemistry major, Mosley is a three-time AVCA All-American, making the second-team in 2024 and the three-time American Southwest Conference MVP and first-team selection. At ETBU, she is currently third in kills (1,500) and seventh in digs (1,188) and a three-time member of the 400-kill club.

This year, she averaged 4.60 kills and 3.69 digs per set, with 529 kills and 424 digs. She led the ASC in kills, points (5.13 ps), and kills per set. Collecting 22 double-doubles, she made the ASC All-Tournament team, the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team, and was the ASC Player of the Week five times.

Outside of athletics, Mosley has a heart for people helping in East Texas while at ETBU. She has volunteered for the Fall Festival at Marshall ISD, helped with the Back to School Bash at New Beginnings Church, and participated in Mission Marshall’s Grocery Night and Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine. In March 2024, she went on a mission trip to Chile with her team as part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience.

As a two-time CSC Academic All-American and an ASC All-Academic team member twice, she helped ETBU to the AVCA Team Academic Award, was voted the ASC Track and Field Distinguished Scholar Athlete in 2023 as a two-sport athlete, is on the President’s List, and is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

ETBU had its finest year in the program, winning back-to-back ASC Tournament Championships, reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row, and reaching a top 10 national ranking for the first time in program history. ETBU finished 29-2, went 8-0 in the ASC, won a program-best 28 matches, had a 28-match home winning streak, and finished the year ranked 15th.
