Today was as amazing day.  We divided into six groups and started the day with Bible distribution.  YWAM San Jose has the goal of distributing a Bible to every home in Costa Rica by the year 2020.  The students had translators but did their best to speak in Spanish as they took turns giving Bibles to and praying with the residents they encountered.  The groups had amazing encounters as each enjoyed friendly conversations as the Costa Ricans were very appreciative of the kindness.  I was so proud of the girls as each one of them took turns in communicating in Spanish and speaking with the Costa Ricans.   We know that God's word is a powerful tool and we are so excited to have a small part in sharing God's word with the people of Costa Rica.  We prayed over every Bible that was given out and we know that God's word does not return void.

During the afternoon the team enjoyed a meal together at a restaurant that specializes in Costa Rican dishes.  The girls definitely attracted attention as they enjoyed arroz con pollo and other Costa Rican dishes.

This evening we enjoyed our first exhibition game against the Costa Rican national team.  Our Lady Tigers were in mid-season form as they were victorious 22-2.  All the girls contributed to the victory and encouraged one another constantly throughout the game.  It was so great to see them do what they love.  Following the game the girls gave ETBU t-shirts to the Costa Rican players and they had a time of prayer together.  It was a great night as they honored God with their play and in their words and actions after the game.    

The girls continue to have a great attitude as they serve.  Everyone is getting along great and they are working hard to serve one another as well as our hosts at the YWAM base.   It is such a blessing to see these girls in action as they serve and as they play.  They are outstanding representatives of the Lord and of ETBU.
