About Us

East Texas Baptist University is home to 18 NCAA Division III athletic teams, giving student-athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest level while growing in faith, academics, and life. As a proud member of the American Southwest Conference since 1998, ETBU stands alongside top Texas institutions like Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne, and Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Division III institutions do not offer athletic scholarships, but ETBU student-athletes may receive financial aid through academic scholarships, grants, loans, and other resources. With state-of-the-art facilities that range among the best in Division III, ETBU delivers an exceptional experience for athletes and fans alike.
