Â
Greetings from Israel! Â We left Houston at 4:00 PM on Tuesday and are scheduled to arrive at our Retreat Center in the Sea of Galilee region shortly - been about 18 hours of travel in all. Â We had a nice bus ride from the airport in Tel Aviv to our destination in Migdal (Northern Israel). Â The countryside is beautiful. We did not expect to see as much green as we have. Â There are so many trees and fields. When I picture Jesus walking from Nazareth to Jerusalem I didn't picture the countryside with so many trees and hills! Â
Â
After arriving in Tel Aviv we got our bags, exchanged currency and boarded the bus. Â Dr. Sanders gave a ten minute lesson on the history of the Jewish people from the time of Solomon building the temple through today. We are meeting the retreat center director tonight, having a short orientation, eating dinner then going to bed. Â It's been a long time since we slept and we've got an exciting day tomorrow touring Jerusalem.Â
Â
Please be praying that all of us will deepen our faith, grow in our knowledge of the Lord, and our love for others. Pray for his guidance and protection on us as we travel. Â Pray that people can see the Spirit of the Lord in us.Â
