MARSHALL, Texas – Adaeze Elonu and Hannah Jones capped off ther East Texas Baptist Univesity senior night wiht a  25-12, 25-20, 25-15 sweep of LeTourneau University as they finish their careers 22-1 in Ornelas Gym. With the victory, ETBU moves to 17-3 overall and 7-2 in American Southwest Conference play. LeTourneau slides to 6-15 overall and 0-6 in ASC matches. Jones and Elonu have helped ETBU win 85 matches in four years and at one point had a top five winning streak at home in NCAA Division III with 18 straight matches.

ETBU finished the night with a .263 team hitting percentage, while LeTourneau hit -.011. Madison Riley posted a career high 12 kills while Mallory Sanders also added 12 kills. Reighanna Guzman had a match-leading 17 assists, while Alexis Zolan contributed 15 assists. Jones tallied 12 digs, while Elonu had seven total digs, including six solo blocks. Sanders added a double-double with 10 digs.

In the opening set, ETBU hit .424. In comparison, LeTourneau hit at a .111 clip. Set two saw both teams drop significantly in terms of hitting percentage with ETBU dropping to a .125 percentage and LeTourneau to a -.057 rate.

ETBU plays next on Friday afternoon against McMurry University at noontime as part of the ASC Crossover Tournament hosted by University of Texas-Tyler.
