The ETBU Athletic Training staff will try to accommodate all reasonable requests to make your road trip as carefree as possible. If you are in need of any additional supplies or information, or if we can be of service to you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the host athletic trainer for the sport or Marcus Holliday, Director of Sports Medicine / Head Athletic Trainer, at 903.923.2237; email:
mholliday@etbu.edu
Â
If your team is traveling without a licensed or certified athletic trainer, advanced notification is appreciated. A written request from an AT must accompany the team in order for us to provide any modality other than hot packs or ice. Our staff will be happy to assist your team with its taping and/or wrapping needs; we simply ask that student-athletes provide their own taping supplies. Please contact the host athletic trainer for the sport or head athletic trainer with any specific requests.

Visiting Bench Supplies:
-Water, injury ice, cups/water bottles, biohazard supplies, towels (court sports only), treatment/taping table
-Vacuum Splints, AED, Crutches, etc… will either be on Home Bench or close proximity

Weather-related Concerns:
For sports that could be affected by inclement weather, the host athletic trainer for the sport will have access to our mobile weather monitoring service, DTN/WeatherSentry. Hazardous weather conditions, particularly lightning-producing thunderstorms, will be monitored closely. Lightning within a radius of 8 miles will require everyone to clear the field and take cover in either a nearby structure or team vans/bus. This information will be communicated to officials, coaches and game administrator. Please refer to the
ETBU Lightning Policy for more details.
