ETBU NAME, IMAGE, LIKENESS (NIL) POLICIES/LINKS
On July 1, 2021, a new era started for the NCAA student-athlete. NCAA college athletes now have the opportunity to benefit from their name, image and likeness. All three divisions have adopted a uniform, interim policy suspending NCAA name, image and likeness rules for all incoming and current student-athletes in all sports.

REPORTING NIL DEALS
All ETBU student-athletes who desire to benefit from their name, image, or likeness, MUST complete the form in Opendorse as it will be submitted to Larry Northcutt. If your business you are partnering with isn't in Opendorse, please submit the information in the Opendorse app to be submitted to Larry Northcutt. The former ETBU NIL Form (pdf) will no longer be used as all disclosures need to go through the Opendorse app.

All student-athletes are responsible for their own interviews with the media when it comes to promoting NIL and their product. TEXAS NIL LAW
The link below has the entire law that was passed by the State of Texas. Student-athletes may not represent:
  (iv)  in exchange for an endorsement of |
|
alcohol, tobacco products, e-cigarettes or any other type of |
|
nicotine delivery device, anabolic steroids, sports betting, |
|
casino gambling, a firearm the student athlete cannot legally |
|
purchase, or a sexually oriented business as defined in Section |
|
243.002, Local Government Code; or |

OPENDORSE
ETBU has partnered with Opendorse as a NIL provider and ETBU was the first non-D1 program to sign an agreement with Opendorse. All student-athletes are eligible to sign up for an account with Opendorse. ETBU student-athletes will be able to complete educational courses through Opendorse, which will assist them in further share their brand on social media.
