MARSHALL, Texas – Playing their third match in four days in the comforts of Ornelas Gym, the East Texas Baptist University volleyball team swept Belhaven University, 3-0, to improve to 9-2 overall. ETBU took the sets 25-13, 25-17, 25-16, as they played 19 players in the match.

ETBU hit .234 overall in the match with a .341 hitting percentage in the first set with 17 kills. They added 16 kills in set three hitting .268. Mallory Sanders led the team with nine kills while Adaeze Elonu and Rebekah Troy each had six. Reighanna Guzman recorded 16 assists and Alexis Zolan had 15 assists. Hannah Jones led with 19 digs.

ETBU will next play on Tuesday, September 22, in Tyler, Texas, in ASC play against Texas-Tyler at 7:00 p.m.
