Box Score BELTON, Texas – Hanging early with one of the American Southwest Conference's best, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday night. UMHB improves to 11-3-1 overall and to 8-1 in ASC play. ETBU drops to 5-6-4 overall and to 3-4-2 in ASC play.
UMHB scored first in the 30 minute on a Kathryn Parker goal on a tap to the bottom right corner. Taylor Marques scored off an Allison Porter assist in the 50th minute. Parker capped off the scoring off an assist from Amanda Carlough in the 82nd minute.
Parker led UMHB with seven shots and six shots on goal. Marques had three shots and one shot on goal. Courtney Craig received the win after the shutout.
Karrigan Falber was notched with the loss after allowing three goals and making five saves. Gabrielle Henley and Claire Hamilton had the only two shots for ETBU.
ETBU will return to action next weekend for the finale weekend series versus McMurry University on Friday night and Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday. Senior Day will be against Hardin-Simmons to honor the ETBU seniors that have dedicated their time and effort to the program. The matches will take place at 4:00 p.m.
