AUSTIN, Texas - Taking to the road after being off 10 days, the East Texas Baptist University volleyball team faced two American Southwest Conference teams in a crossover invitational. ETBU fell in both matches to McMurry University and Concordia University-Texas.

In match one,  ETBU took the first set against McMurry 25-18 only to fall in the next three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-23, and 25-18. Leading the way for ETBU was Mallory Sanders with 10 kills and 10 digs while Britni Mosher had  17 kills. Kayla Green contributed with 19 assists while Morgan Rupp added 15 digs to the team.

Match two saw ETBU dropping all three sets to Concordia by scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-17. Sanders once again led the team with 14 kills and eight digs. Green had 12 assists and six digs while Rupp contributed with 11 digs. Elyse Shaw delivered nine assists to the team while Gabrielle Jones added five blocks in the game.

ETBU will resume the crossover tournament tomorrow as they take on Hardin-Simmons at 3:00 pm.
