MARSHALL, Texas – Taking one of the best teams in the American Southwest Conference down to the wire, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker to rival University of Texas-Tyler, 1-0. Head coach Erik Solberg had this to say on tonight's match, “Obviously losing is never fun, but I am super pleased with the way our girls executed our game plan. Unfortunately we made one series of mistakes that led to the UT-Tyler goal and cost us a result in the match tonight. I am still very proud of the way the ladies competed for 90 minutes against a very good team, and am pleased with the chances and opportunities we were able to create. We will continue to grow and learn from our mistakes, but overall I am pleased with the way our team fought tonight.”

ETBU returns to action against the University of the Ozarks on Saturday October 1st for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff. The match will precede the men's soccer matches for both schools.
