RICHARDSON, Texas – Picking up their first weekly award of the season, the East Texas Baptist University men's soccer team received the honor courtesy of goalkeeper Bryant Botello. Botello was named the Amercian Southwest Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Botello had 10 saves while allowing one goal as he led the Tigers to a 1-0-1 record this past weekend. Against LC, he recorded six saves while he collected four saves against BU. He stopped a key shot in the first overtime period against Belhaven to keep the game a shutout. He then helped ETBU to a 2-1 victory over Louisiana College.
 
ETBU will head to Brownwood to take on Howard Payne this Thursday.
