- Unable to overcome two first half goals by the University of Texas Dallas, East Texas Baptist University fell to the Comets 2-0 in the final match of the season. The Tigers drop to 6-8-3 overall and 2-7-2 in American Southwest Conference.
Just over four minutes into the match, UTD recorded their first goal (4:26) on a Rodrigo Balmaceda shot. UTD responded with yet another goal eight minutes later to increase the lead to 2-0. Shots by
Jordan Burke and
Dominic Wood bounced off the mark for ETBU, leaving them scoreless heading into halftime. The Tigers outshot UTD 11 to seven in the first half, with three shots coming on goal. The Comets had two shots on goal in the opening half.
In the second half, ETBU was unable to convert at the net, but kept UTD from recording another goal in the contest. The Comets held on to defeat the Tigers 2-0.
Bryant Botello was in goal but did not have a save in the match.
ETBU finishes their season at 6-8-3 overall and 2-7-2 in the ASC.
