MARSHALL, Texas – In their first home match of the year, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team fell to Millsaps College, 7-2. ETBU trailed just 2-1 after doubles before Millsaps took five of the next six matches.

In doubles, Cody Highsmith and John Herr teamed up at no. 2 doubles for an 8-2 win over Cameron Doles and Cooper Cearley. ETBU lost both no.1 and no. 3 doubles, 8-4.

Herr was then the only win in singles play at no. 4 with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Aviash Anath. ETBU had two close matches at no. 5 and no. 6 singles. Joseph Salinas lost the no. 5 singles match, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) while Rollin Houk fell in no. 6, 6-4, 7-5.

ETBU hosts Austin College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
