MARSHALL, Texas – In their final home match of the year, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team face nationally ranked Southwestern University and fell, 9-0. ETBU had several matches that were competitive pushing the tough Pirate team.

In doubles, ETBU's strongest match came at no.3 doubles as Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver lost in a tiebreaker, 9-7. Connor Mason and Andrew Deutsch (no.1) and Cody Highsmith and John Herr (no.2) both lost 8-4 in their matches.

Herr pushed Dean Dulthummon at no.4 singles falling 6-2, 6-4. Another close match came at no.3 singles as Deutsch lost to Grant Gideon, 6-1, 6-3.

ETBU has three ASC East matches left on the year all on the road starting next weekend at LeTourneau.
