Box Score SEGUIN, Texas - Just moments after Texas Lutheran University tied the score at one, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team received a big boost by
Chase Swann who scored the game winning goal in the 57th minute. The 2-1 win is the first win of the season for ETBU as they move to 1-1.
Early on, ETBU started the game with great offense firing multiple shots while playing great defense preventing the Bulldogs from having a shot until the 25th minute. It took 19 more minutes before ETBU finally broke through on a goal by

Nine minutes into the second half, TLU equalized on a goal by substitute Tanya Prazelini with the assist by Mikayla Wallace. The tie would last for nearly three minutes before Swann tallied an assist from
Kendall Vogt by scoring the game-winner. TLU had three chances to tie the game, but
Karrigan Falber prevented any such goals as ETBU walked out with the win.
ETBU outshot TLU 20-9 with an 11-5 edge in shots on goal. Seven of the shots came from
Hannah Murin, who also had five on goal. Rondon had five shots while
Heather Brady had three. Falter made four saves in net for the Tigers. Prazelini and Raquel Morris had two shots each while goalkeepers Stephanie Barrientos (five) and Mikaela Gilbert (four) combined for nine saves total.
ETBU returns to Marshall, Texas, for their first home match of the year against Hendrix College at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
