PINEVILLE, La. – Shutting out Louisiana College, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team is now 1-0 in American Southwest Conference East Division play with a 9-0 win. LC earned just four set points in singles play.

ETBU won all three doubles matches 8-0. Cody Highsmith and John Herr won the number one doubles and then Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver won the number two doubles match. Andrew Deutsch then teamed with Tyler Howard to win number three doubles for the 3-0 lead.

Salinas had the closest match of the day at the number one singles defeating Leonard de Castro, 6-4, 6-4. Herr (#2), Deutsch (#3), Tarver (#4), Howard (#5), and Dalton Barron (#6) all won numbers two through six 6-0, 6-0.

ETBU travels to San Antonio, Texas, on March 24 to face St. Edwards and Trinity University.
