MARSHALL, Texas- Coming fresh off of a 9-0 victory in Conference play, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team will travel to San Antonio, Texas for a matchup with St. Edward's University followed by an afternoon contest with Trinity University. The first match is set to kick-off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. ETBU is currently 2-6 on the season and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference matches.

In the team's latest win over Louisiana College, John Herr and Cody Highsmith commanded the number one doubles match, winning 8-0. Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver each contributed 8-0 victories and the doubles team of Andrew Deutsch and Tyler Howard rounded out the sweep with another 8-0 win. Salinas held his own in the singles spot, commanding the number one matchup and winning 6-4. Deutsch, Tarver, Howard, Barron and Herr all came away with sweeps in their respective singles matches (6-0).  Herr was also named the ASC Tennis Player of the Week for his efforts in ETBU's Spring Break road trip in Orlando, Fla., where they faced several nationally ranked opponents.

The men's team will take on St. Edward's College at 9:00 a.m. and Trinity University at 2:00 p.m. from San Antonio, Texas.
