Box Score MARSHALL, Texas – Getting in a crossover match in the American Southwest Conference before spring break action, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team (1-3) fell to the University of Texas Dallas, 6-3. ETBU picked up one double and two single match wins.
In doubles play,
Joseph Salinas and
Ty Tarver won a tie breaking match over Ryan Morton and Kalee Kuhn at number three doubles, 9-7. ETBU went into singles play down just 2-1.
It was a bit harder in singles as ETBU took two matches at number four and number six singles.
John Herr won 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) at number four over Morton.
Tyler Howard then won the number six singles match, 6-2, 6-3, over Kalee Kuhn.
ETBU will now head to Orlando, Fla., for three matches over spring break.
