MARSHALL, Texas – Honoring senior Cody Highsmith for Senior Day, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team ended their regular season with a 7-2 victory over the University of Ozarks. ETBU is now 4-1 in the American Southwest Conference East Division and 5-9 on the year.

ETBU took two the doubles matches as Joseph Salinas paired up with Ty Tarver at #2 doubles for an 8-5 win. Andrew Deutsch and Tyler Howard were able to pick up an 8-0 shutout and #3 doubles to make it 2-1 heading into singles play.

The Tigers then followed up with five singles matches as they won the #2-6 singles matches. Salinas (#2 doubles) won 6-3, 6-3, just as John Herr (#3) picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory. At #4 singles, Deutsch was able to win 6-2, 6-0 while Tarver (#5 singles, 6-1, 6-1) and Howard (#6 singles, 6-0, 6-2) tacked on insurance points for the win.

ETBU will now wait and see where they will end up competing for their upcoming ASC Conference Tournament.
