GEORGETOWN, Texas – In their final competition for the fall season, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team competed at the ITA South/Southwest Regional Tournament held at Southwestern University. Two players would win their first round matchups while ETBU had two players do well in the consolation bracket.
John Herr would have the longest run among all ETBU players in the winner's bracket as he reached the round of 16 in the "A" draw singles flight.
Joseph Salinas dropped his first round match, but would earn three wins in the consolation bracket before reaching the semifinals. Matt Fuhr would earn the consolation bracket victory in D singles draw as he finished with three straight victories following his first round defeat.
ETBU's first spring semester match will be against the University of St. Thomas (TX) on January 25
th at 10:00 AM.
