CLARKSVILE, Ark. – Moving to 2-1 in American Southwest Conference East Division play, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win over University of the Ozarks. ETBU is now 6-8 overall on the season.
 
ETBU would go 2-1 in doubles play with the #2 doubles team of Joseph Salinas/ Ty Tarver winning, 8-1. The #3 doubles team of Andrew Deutsch/ Tyler Howard pulled off the 8-4 win for the second point. The #1 doubles team of John Herr/ Adam Morris lost a in a tie breaker, 9-7.
 
In singles play, ETB was able to sweep all six matches. In the #1 singles, Salinas picked up the 7-5, 6-2 win, followed by Herr winning the #2 singles 6-2, 6-0. Deutsch won the #3 singles 6-2, 6-0, followed by Howard in the #4 singles winning 6-2, 6-4. Tarver won 6-3, 6-2 in the #5 singles, and Adam Morris won 6-0, 6-0 in the #6 singles.
 
ETBU will return to the court as they travel to Jackson, Miss., to take on Belhaven University on April 17, at 6:00 PM.
