MARSHALL, Texas - With their regular season winding down, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team will hit the road to Mississippi for two matches this week. They will first compete against Belhaven University on Wednesday before ending things with Millsaps College on Thursday.
 
In their previous match, the Tigers took the University of Ozarks, 8-1, in Clarksville, Ark. ETBU would win two doubles matches at #2 (Joseph Salinas/Ty Tarver) and #3 (Andrew Deutsch/Tyler Howard) winning by scores of 8-1 and 8-4 respectively. There would be no conceding in singles play as ETBU won all six singles matches in straight sets.
 
ETBU remains in second in the ASC East at 2-1 and is 6-8 overall. They will start off with BU on Wednesday. Last season brought out a 5-4 win at home for the Tigers. Entering this week, the Blazers are 5-6 and 1-1 in the division after sweeping two matches against the Mississippi University for Women by scores of 9-0 each.
 
On Thursday, with weather pending, the Tigers will follow up with a match against Millsaps. A season ago, ETBU only managed to take one point in an 8-1 defeat to the Majors. MC will bring with them a 10-4 record overall after a victory over Centre College.
 
The matches will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday and 1:00 PM on Thursday.
