Game 1: ETBU 2, UMHB 0
Both starters would pitch scoreless ball for three innings with Underwood holding UMHB to one hit. UMHB did get two runners on base in the fourth before a fielder's choice ended their threat. Mikeska homered to put ETBU up 1-0 after the fourth for the first run of the game. ETBU would get fortunate bounces going their way on defense when with one out in the fifth, UMHB hit a ball that hit the runner on base. Underwood then retired the side with another groundout to end the inning.
ETBU added to their lead when on a stolen base attempt in the sixth Combs scored on the throw to make it 2-0. The top of seventh had UMHB put a runner on with one out but while the Crusaders picked up a double, Mikeska made a strong throw to cut off the lead runner at third. Underwood would then retire the last hitter to complete the shutout.

Combs would get all ETBU's first three runs in the first two innings starting with an opposite field homer in the first. Then he would pick up his third RBI with a single in the third. Findley would pitch three no-hit innings before UMHB got their first hit in the fourth inning.

ETBU would tack on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth as Sumpter scored on a wild pitch while Gartner would hit into an RBI groundout to extend the lead 14 runs.
