MARSHALL, Texas - Finishing second in the American Southwest Conference East Division, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team is set to compete in the ASC Championship Tournament in Richardson, Texas, this weekend. ETBU starts their postseason run against Howard Payne University for the third straight season in the first round.

ETBU is currently 19-6 overall and ranked 8
th in the South Region. They won the 2018 ASC Tournament Championship over UMHB in Richardson, Texas, and advanced to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. They enter this year's tournament as the #2 seed from the East Division and are playing the #3 team from the West Division.
