MARSHALL, Texas – Heading out to San Marcos, Texas, for Spring Break, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team will compete in three matches against regional opponents. They will take on Schreiner University, #12 Trinity University, and Concordia University – Texas this weekend. ETBU is 3-3 overall on the season.

ETBU
- Swept Howard Payne, 9-0, last weekend.
- John Herr/Tyler Howard (No. 1; 8-4), Andrew Deutsch/Adam Morris (No. 2; 8-0), and Dalton Barron/Noah Smistad (No. 3; 8-2) swept all their doubles flights.
- Herr (No.1; 6-0, 6-1), Morris (No. 2; 7-6 (10-3), 6-3), Howard (No. 3; 6-0, 6-0), Barron (No. 4; 6-0, 6-0), Smistad (No. 5; 6-4, 6-2), and Matt Fuhr (No. 6; 6-4, 7-5) swept all their singles flights in straight sets.
- Barron named ASC East Division Player of the Week of the week. This was the first career award for him and second of the season for ETBU.
- Defeated SU last season, 7-2. They took two of three doubles matches while winning all but one singles match. It was their second ever match win against the Pioneers.
- 0-2 against TU all-time. Have yet to score a point against them.
- 3-1 all-time against CTX.
- Herr is 5-1 in singles play with three wins at No. 2
- Deutsch is 3-0 at No. 3 singles. He is also 4-1 at No. 2 doubles with three wins along Howard.
SCHREINER
- 2-7 overall following a 7-2 loss to Hardin-Simmons University
- 2-4 this season against ASC competition with wins over HPU (8-1) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-3)
TRINITY
- 9-6 overall after a 9-0 win against Texas Lutheran
- Won their last seven matches.
- 3-0 against ASC competition this season with wins over McMurry (9-0), CTX (9-0), and Hardin-Simmons (8-1).
- 2-0 against ETBU all-time on a pair of 9-0 wins.
- Jordan Pitts has won eight singles matches overall for TU, the most on the team. This includes six at No. 2 singles.
- Hao Nguyen and Christian Settles are 10-0 overall in doubles play with eight wins coming at No. 2 doubles
CONCORDIA-TEXAS
- 3-1 overall following a 5-4 win over LeTourneau University
- Defeated ETBU for the first time ever last season, 5-4.
- Evan Pena Jr. is 12-2 overall in singles play with four wins at No. 4 and No. 5. He has won his last six singles matches and eight of the last ten.
- Joshua Bode is 9-2 at No. 1 singles
- Pena Jr. and Adam Compton are 9-1 as a doubles pair with seven wins taking place at No. 3
