PREVIEW | @ETBU_WBSK Taking on UTD, UO in ASC East Play

MARSHALL, Texas – Putting a lot on the line facing tough competition on the road this week, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team faces their first American Southwest Conference East Division test. ETBU travels to the University of Texas Dallas on Thursday and then the University of the Ozarks on Saturday.

* ETBU is 10-0 after 77-50 win over Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday.
* Bridget Upton led ETBU with 17 points while Taylor Singleton scored 10 points in the win over HSU.
* Second straight game ETBU held HSU to 50 points.
* ETBU defeated McMurry, 67-33, on Thursday. Haley Fieseler led the team with 13 points.
* ETBU's 10-game winning streak is the third highest winning streak in program history and second highest in the DIII era behind 2006-07 (14 games). ETBU last won 10 games in a row last year from Jan. 4 – Feb. 6 and also in the 2018-19 season from Jan. 12 – Feb. 12.
*Third straight year for a 10-game winning streak.
* 3-3 in the last six contests against Texas Dallas.
* Last year, upset then #25 UTD in Ornelas Gym, 58-54. Taylor Singleton scored a career-high 16 points to lead ETBU.
* Won seven of their last meetings with the Eagles of UO, including the last five contests.
* Defeated UO by scores of 59-48 and 62-41 last season.
* ETBU lead the American Southwest Conference in scoring (76.3 ppg) and field goal percentage (43.3%) while placing second in points allowed (53.7 ppg)
* Upton is ETBU's scoring leader with 11.9 ppg.
* Singleton leads ETBU in rebounding (6.6 rpg) and assists (3.1 apg). This also puts her 10th in the conference.
UTD
* 6-1 after a 62-58 win over Concordia University (TX)
* Raenett Hughes scored 24 points to lead the Comets in the win and was one rebound shy of a double-double.
* Hughes is averaging 15.1 ppg against ETBU in the last eight meetings.
* UTD is averaging 69.3 ppg (5th in the ASC) while allowing 57.4 ppg (3rd in the ASC).
* Lead the ASC in offensive rebounds with 17.4 per game.
* Hughes is currently in the top 10 in points (15.4; 5th), rebounds (7.9; 9th), assists (4.0; 7th), and steals (2.7; 6th)
* Kelley Skinner has made 76.7% of her free throws, which leads the Comets and is 14th overall in the ASC. She also is second on the team in rebounds (7.3 rpg)
* Kaitlyn Judge is in the top 10 in three-point shooting in the ASC by making 42.1%, which is 10th.
UO
* 0-2 overall and in the ASC following a 75-57 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor.
* Kerigan Bradshaw was the game's top scorer with 22 points vs. UMHB.
* Second to last in the ASC by allowing 56.5 ppg and 10th in points allowed (71.5 ppg).
* Second in the ASC in team free throw percentage (75.9%)
* Bradshaw (3rd; 18.7 ppg) and Curry (10th; 13.0 ppg) are both ranked in the ASC
* Four Eagles players are in the top 10 in free throw percentage; Kelsey Dixson (T1st; 100%),  Brittany Sain (7th; 87.5%), Bradshaw (8th; 84.2%), and Kamryn McKinney (9th; 83.3%)
* Curry is tied for 6th in blocked shots (1.5 per game).
