ABILENE, Texas – Finishing out their trip to West Texas, the East Texas Baptist University men's tennis team came up short against McMurry University, 8-1. ETBU is now 1-1 on the season.

ETBU fell in all three doubles matches but were very competitive. John Herr and Joseph Salinas lost 8-5 at No. 1 while Adam Morris and Randal Lemmon fell in a tiebreaker, 8-7, at No. 3. Herr would be the only Tiger to win his singles match at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph. Morris (No. 3; 6-2, 5-7, 3-6) and Noah Smistad (No. 4; 2-6, 7-5, 9-11) would send their matches to  super tiebreakers before falling in the third set.

ETBU will have their first home match of the season this Friday at 4:00 PM against Schreiner University.
