PREVIEW | @ETBU_WS Hosting SRSU in ASC Tournament First Round Match

MARSHALL, Texas - Finishing the regular season with a 6-1-1 record, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team is the #2 seed in the American Southwest Conference East Division. By qualifying for the ASC tournament, ETBU will host to Sul Ross State University in the first round of the post season tournament on Thursday night.
 
SRSU is the #3 team from the West Division with a 2-2-2 record. This is will be ETBU's fifth ASC Tournament appearance in the last six years and their highest seeding in divisional play. ETBU was an overall #4 seed in 2017 hosting their first-ever ASC Tournament match. This ASC Tournament match will only be the second time ETBU has hosted at Cornish Field.
 
In 2017, ETBU hosted Texas Tyler and tied in double overtime, 2-2, but didn't advance on as they fell in penalty kicks. This is the 13th time that ETBU will play in the ASC Tournament  and they are 1-11-1 overall only advancing on in the tournament in 2005 to the semi-finals.

* Brianna Mickshaw leads ETBU in points (nine), which includes a team-high three assists and sharing the team lead in goals (three) along with Pineda.
* Raegan Kappler leads ETBU with 28 shots.
* Claire Montondon has a GAA of 1.01 with 21 saves and five wins.
* Should ETBU win, they would advance to take on either Hardin-Simmons or Ozarks next Thursday.

* #3 seed in the West Division
* 0-2-1 all-time in the tournament. Drew 1-1 to LETU before losing 6-5 on penalty kicks in 2018.
* Last defeated ETBU 2-1 in 2017.
* Britney Berumen leads the Lobos with three goals for a total of six points.
* Alitzel Ybarra has a GAA of 1.09 with 29 saves.
