PINEVILLE, La. – Taking another American Southwest Conference series, the #4 East Texas Baptist University softball team finished off Louisiana College with a 7-2 victory to complete the sweep. Now 19-3 overall, ETBU is 15-3 in the ASC East Division.

Mariah Delgado and Tristen Maddox each recorded two hit games to spark ETBU's offense. Sarah Cedillo and Hannah Garcia recorded two RBI. Hannah Kelley earned the win with a complete game victory giving up just four hits and recording six strikeouts.

Four batters into the game, the Tigers grabbed a 3-0 lead as Cedillo and Maddox had RBI doubles while Solis picked up a RBI single for a 3-0 lead. ETBU added three more runs in the second inning when Delgado recorded a RBI single before she and Cedillo scored on a RBI single by Garcia to make it 6-0. Kelley would keep LC off balance allowing two hits through five innings.

ETBU tacked on a run in the sixth inning after when Cedillo brought in Gil on a RBI groundout. Kelley would lose the shutout in the seventh inning by allowing two unearned runs but would finish the Wildcats off in the inning with two strikeouts and a pop out to complete the sweep.

ETBU's road trip carries into next weekend when they travel to Arkansas to face the University of Ozarks.
