MARSHALL, Texas - Advancing to the American Southwest Conference Tournament semi-finals match by way of penalty kicks, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer will take on power house Hardin-Simmons University. The winner of this game will advance to the championship game and face either Texas Dallas or the University Mary Hardin-Baylor.
This is the first semi-final match that ETBU has played in since 2005 after they defeated LeTourneau, 3-2, on November 4. They then fell to Texas Dallas, 2-0, in the semi-final match. ETBU has never beaten Hardin-Simmons and the closest match came in 2019 when they lost, 1-0, in Marshall.
