SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Facing off against #21 Trinity University, the East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the year, 4-1. ETBU is now 3-1 on the year.

Sarah Ramos led ETBU with three shots while Olivia Gallegos had two shots and one goal. Raegan Kappler, Brianna Mickshaw, Amy Pineda, and Katherine Vela also had a shot in the game. Claire Montondon (two saves) and Addison Funk (four saves) would combine for six saves in goal.

TU struck first with a goal just four minutes into the game. Just 10 minutes later, TU recorded their second goal. ETBU had a chance to capitalize in the 22nd minute, but TU responded with their third score taking a 3-0 lead at the half.

The second half brought one more TU goal for a 4-0 lead. ETBU broke through in the 73rd minute as Gallegos capitalized cutting the lead to three, 4-1.

ETBU will travel to Houston on Friday to take on the University of St. Thomas (TX) at 3:00 PM.
