SHREVEPORT, Texas - Taking on ACHA Division II Drury University, the East Texas Baptist Univeristy ACHA Division III team came up shy of victory, 6-1. The lone goal for the Tigers was scored by Tyler Wathen. Goaltender Seth Daniels was in net for the Tigers shutting down 26 out of the total 32 shots on goal.
 
The Panthers got on the board first just 7:54 into the game. The Panthers scored two more times before the period ended giving them a 3-0 lead at the end of first period.
 
Things started to heat up in the second period as far as penalties go. There was only one goal tallied, by either team. Drury scored early in the second as ETBU had four penalties in the period.
 
In the last 20 minutes of the game, the Panthers snuck two more goals past Daniels. The Tigers managed to get on the board just 3:40 into the final period but were unable to keep the momentum up In the 6-1 loss.
