BELTON, Texas – Taking on strong women's tennis competition at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational, East Texas Baptist University provided a great glimpse of the future with their team. ETBU won nine of the 12 first-round singles matches and also won three Draw Championships along with one consolation championship.

Drew Lambert says, "Seeing all these great results reminds me of the last time we played in the fall ASC invitational in Abilene in 2019. We battled hot, tough conditions and a lot of tiebreakers to win several matches with a young team. I am looking forward to seeing how this team plays at the ITA Regionals at Trinity University."
Below are highlight notes from the invitational:
- In the Doubles C Draw, Faith Kirk/Grayce Malone won the championship over Trinity McEowen/Anna Thornton (UMHB), 8-3.
- In the E Draw Doubles, Peyton Shivers/Hannah Keltner took third place, 8-0, over TLU's Kaitlyn Enloe/Kahleigh Garnder.
- Addy Seward won third place in the A Draw Singles beating St. Thomas Houston's #1 Alejandra Lopez, 6-3, 6-4, and then defeated UMHB's Erin Kittredge in the third place match, 6-3, 6-3
- Fernanda Ruiz played in the C Draw Singles final and won in the semi-finals over Lucia Rodriguez (UST), 7-5, 1-6, 10-7. In the final she lost, 6-4, 6-4. The match was break after break of serve.
- Gabbi Hammerbach and Jayde Childress played each other in finals of the D Draw Singles after beating their opponents in straight sets.
- Grayce Malone won third place in the F Draw Singles over Anna Vera Thornton (UMHB), 7-5, 6-0. The final first set went back and forth and in the second set Malone didn't drop a game.
- Isabelle Duarte won the F Draw Singles consolation final in straight sets over UMHB's Trinity McEowen, 6-4, 6-1
- Faith Kirk and Andrea Alvarez played in the finals of the G Draw Singles against each other.
- Keelie Stamson reached the consolation final of the G Draw Singles falling in a tiebreaker, 10-8.
- ETBU took first, second, and third place in the H Draw Singles as Peyton Shivers and Shyann Darr played each other in the finals. Hannah Keltner won the third-place match over HPU'S Nina Delafuente in a tiebreaker, 7-5, 5-7, 10-8.
