ABILENE, Texas – Finishing off their trip to Abilene, East Texas Baptist University lost to Hardin-Simmons University, 9-0. ETBU is now 4-3 on the year and went 1-1 in Abilene.
HSU took all three doubles matches starting with an 8-2 win at number one. They followed with an 8-3 win at both number two and three for the 3-0 lead.
Jacob Daniell went to a tie breaker at number six singles but came up shy of a point, 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 5-10.
Sam Black then pushed for a point at number one but fell, 2-6, 6-7 (5-7).
ETBU will host Concordia University Texas on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
