NEWBERG, Ore. – In their second match of spring break on the West Coast, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team fell to George Fox University, 8-1. ETBU is now 8-4 on the year.
Addy Seward earned ETBU's only point in the match with a tiebreaking win at number one singles. She defeated Kalli Wiker, 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 1-0 (10-7). There was one other tiebreaking match at number five singles where
Maryam Sharafeldin fell to Arianna Rader, 4-6, 6-3, 9-11.
In doubles play at number two,
Jayde Childress and
Andrea Alvarez fell, 8-6, in the closest match to Abigail Bond and Olivia Morris.
ETBU will face Lewis and Clark on Monday in Oregon.
