Kinesiology Wellness major, Aylisse' Warren has provided today's recap below.

"This morning the team enjoyed a nice exercise session with breakfast following shortly after and then and watched the sunrise over the campgrounds. After breakfast, we departed for our morning activity of volunteering at the South Auckland Christian Food Bank. It was an amazing opportunity for us to take part in the community and help make care packages for families across Auckland. We had girls packing the boxes with different foods, cleaning around the facility, and sorting food within the facility for later packing. The girls all got a chance to dabble in each area and connect with the staff, who worked at the food bank. Once all the boxes were made, we had a group of girls load up in the vans and deliver the care packages to homes. Each box and family were prayed over before being delivered and the girls took turns dropping them off. Izel and I got to have another experience to help serve. We visited the recently burnt down Burger King and gas station not too far from the food bank. We salvaged food and brought it back to the bank. It was an amazing experience getting to spend some time volunteering and meeting new people we could potentially impact. It was such a rush of excitement getting to know and learn from new people and dive head first into a new experience with no hesitation. God worked through us and blessed us with new memories to think back on and share with others back at home in the states.

During the afternoon, we played against Maclean's Colleges boys soccer team. Despite the end game results, it was a fun game and a different opportunity to play the lovely game of soccer in New Zealand. We connected with the boys after the game and spoke about the slight differences between their high school soccer compared to high school soccer back home. They were completely shocked once they realized that we were in fact not 16/17 year old girls, which was a sight to see! The boys were great and allowed us to create a new memory.  After the match was over we shared some pizzas amongst our teams and got a chance to talk and connect. Following the games, we were blessed with the beautiful sight of watching five baptisms lead by Brett Bagwell, a member of the ISF team and minister, at the beach outside of camp. Four players, including me, and one member of the ISF team, took the next step in fully accepting Christ into their lives and opening up completely in allowing Him to lead them. It was a tearful sight, and the entire ETBU team was able to witness us take the leap of faith with our Lord and Savior.  Nothing could compare to the peace that laid over not only those who were baptized, but those who witnessed the moving moment. In our evening debrief, we cherished moments from the trip, but followed it with group conversation of great memories we have of each other throughout the years and laughed for at least an hour together. It was a great day! We as players, coaches, staff, and ISF members are constantly reminded that the Lord is always moving in our lives and He wants to make a connection with us.  He speaks to us in ways we may not know or understand, but He is always with us every step of the way."
