MARSHALL, Texas – Buying East Texas Baptist University football season tickets has become sweeter as Dairy Queen has signed on as a Gold + Corporate Sponsor for the 2023-24 athletic year. Dairy Queen is the corporate football ticket sponsor for the 2023 season along with other corporate items they will support for this year.
Owner of the Marshall Dairy Queen Jordan Giles says, "We've thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with ETBU since 2018. Our team loves the energy they bring when they attend our events. I believe Adam (Ledyard) & his team have some special events in store for DQ & ETBU fans alike heading in this football season."
The first of those events is for ETBU Football Season Ticket Holders. If season tickets are bought before the first game on September 9, free blizzards for a year will be given to that ticket holder. Season tickets are $90 for six home games with two night games and four day games.
"This is a new promotion that ETBU athletics is running this year with our partnership with HomeTown Ticketing. We now have the opportunity for businesses to be on ETBU football tickets. Our new ticketing system will allow us to scan tickets at the gate, download the tickets digitally, or transfer them to another fan to use at the game if the current holder cannot make it," says Assistant Athletic Director of Communications Adam P. Ledyard.
ETBU's first home game will be under the lights on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. vs. Hendrix College. It will be the first of three straight home games for the Tigers featuring two night games. The second home game of the season will take place on September 16 against nationally ranked Wisconsin-Osh Kosh with the other night game coming on September 30 for Family Weekend vs. Austin College. October will feature two games with the first one on October 14 vs. McMurry at 1:00 p.m. ETBU will host the "Homecoming" game on October 28 at 1:00 p.m. vs. Sul Ross State. The season will end with the sixth home game on November 11 vs. Hardin-Simmons University at 1:00 p.m.
Dairy Queen will also be sponsoring the "DQ Player of the Game" at all home games, host a "DQ Game of the Month" with giveaways at the selected game, have a halftime basketball promotion, and be a Game Day sponsor. More promotions will come during the year through ETBU athletics and Dairy Queen's social media.
