AUSTIN, Texas – Finishing seventh out of 12 teams at the Linda Lowery Invite hosted by Concordia University Texas, East Texas Baptist University finished +66 over and was just 10 strokes off of third place. ETBU's Jack Sladek was the top golfer finishing in 10^th place out of 70 golfers with a 154.
 
ETBU was two strokes off from sixth place St. Thomas Texas (+64) and four strokes from fifth place Texas Lutheran ((+62). Pacific Lutheran and Mary Hardin-Baylor tied for third with a +56 while Concordia Texas was second at +39 with Texas Dallas winning the event with a +28.
 
Sladek shot a 76 in round one followed by a 78 in round two for the 154. He was just five strokes off the medalist who shot a 149. Kip Childress then came in 16^th with a 157 (78-79). Colby Connor followed in 43^rd with a 165 (86-79) shooting seven strokes better in round two.
 
Hutton Hoelscher finished in 56^th with a 171 (82-80) and Grayson Griffith was 59^th with a 174 (89-85).
 
ETBU will next play April 11-13 at The Battle in Brownwood in Brownwood, Texas at The Hideout Golf Club.
