MARSHALL, Texas – Shutting out the University of the Ozarks in American Southwest Conference East Division play, 9-0, East Texas Baptist University won five of the nine matches not allowing a point scored. ETBU is now 12-2 and 2-0 in the ASC East.
 
Winning two matches in doubles, 8-0, ETBU had an 8-1 win at no. 1. Monique Ybarra and Addy Seward won at no. 1, 8-1. Jayde Childress and Bailey Smith won at no. 2 and Isabelle Duarte and Shyan Darr took the no. 3 match, 8-0, for a 3-0 lead.
 
Ybarra (no. 1), Duarte (no. 3), and Kristyn Dunn (no. 5) all won their singles matches, 6-0, 6-0. Smith then won at no. 2, 6-2, 6-1, and Childress took the no. 4 match, 6-2, 6-2. Darr finished out the scoring with a 6-3, 6-1, win at no. 6.
 
ETBU will take on Southwestern University on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in Georgetown, Texas.
