The Sharks are the Greater Northeast Athletic Champions (GNAC) for the second year in a row. They won their first round of the GNAC Tournament with a win over Emmanuel, 2-1, and two wins over Lasell, 6-0, and 5-4. The following weekend they won two of three over Saint Joseph's in game two and three, 12-4, and 4-3. They fell in game one, 5-0.
Last year they went 2-2 in the NCAA Tournament in Cambridge, Mass., at MIT. They lost to MIT, 2-0 before two straight wins over Rensselaer, 8-5, and Endicott, 7-5. MIT ended the Sharks season, 9-2, on May 20.
Simmons is led by Raya Anderson with a .365 average in 41 games played. She has 46 hits and seven RBI. Leah Berdeen leads the team with 17 RBI. The team has four home runs on the year and scored 150 runs. Piper Kinney is the top pitcher with 211 strikeouts and is 15-9 on the year. She has a 2.20 ERA with 17 complete games in 24 games started.
ETBU vs. Massachusett's Teams
ETBU has played two teams from Massachusetts and is 1-1. They last played Eastern Nazarene in 2021 in the Marshall, Texas Regional Tournament. The first team they faced was Tufts University in 2014 in the National Championship Tournament in Tyler, Texas, falling, 9-3. Tufts went on to win the national championship

ETBU in the NCAA Tournament
ETBU has played 68 games in the NCAA Tournament winning the 2010 national championship. They have made two appearances in the National Championship Tournament in 2010 and 2014 winning the Super Regional in 2014. They have won three Regional Championships in 2010, 2014, and 2017 and played in two Super Regional Championships (2014, 2017). They have a 35-33 record in 16 NCAA Tournaments.

Shirley has taken ETBU to 14 NCAA Tournaments in her 17 years as 2020 there was no NCAA Tournament. In her 17
th year at ETBU, she is 31-27 in the NCAA Tournament and has been the no.1 seed six times in the regional tournament. She guided ETBU to the 2010 national championship and 2014 Super Regional Championship and won three regional tournaments. She has also been the regional runners-up three times.
