LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Handling business on the road in a NCAA Division I War Memorial Stadium, East Texas Baptist University throttled Hendrix College, 63-28. It is the first time since 2018 that ETBU has started the season off 2-0. During the five-game, COVID-19 spring 2021 season, ETBU started 2-0 before finishing 3-2.

Unofficially, ETBU had close to or over 600 yards of total offense as Kaden Brown threw for four touchdowns and rushed for two. He threw touchdowns to Chase Walker (20-yards), Hymond Drinkard (29-yards) and two to Trayjen Llanas-Wilcox (50-yards, 11-yards).  Brown had a 17-yard rush and 44-yard rush for touchdowns. Drinkard also scored on a 62-yard fake punt run for a touchdown.
 
Defensively, Andrae Gibson recorded two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Mason Stancliff had a pick-6 and a forced fumble.
 
ETBU will be off next week and host Centenary College (La.) on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6:00 p.m. on Family Weekend.
