CLINTON, Miss. – It was a variety of programs from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA that East Texas Baptist University competed against at the Watson Collegiate Cross Country Classic at Mississippi College. ETBU finished in 11th place with 281 points out of 19 programs and one top 30 runner.

Natalie Bach-Prather said, "This was the first 6K for our women's team this year, and they hit their fastest average mile pace for the season. Phoebe had the fourth-best time in program history for a 6K. It was a fun day for the Tigers."
Phoebe Dunham had the fourth-fastest NCAA Division III time at the invite in the 6K race at 23:43.5. Her time was the fourth fastest in the program's history for the 6K as she is now on the list five times.
Danna Requena came in 56
th place at 25:10.90, and
Hannah Willis had a personal record time at 25:55.40 for 71
st place.
ETBU will run next at the American Southwest Conference Championships in Abilene, Texas, on November 1.
