SAN DESTIN, Fla. – Playing in one of the top fall tournaments in NCAA Division III, East Texas Baptist University came in 19^th at the Golfweek October Classic in Florida. ETBU shot a 992 in the three-day tournament as Madisyn Davis was the top golfer coming in 45^th.
 
ETBU started the tournament with a 331 and then shot a 327 on day two. They finished with a 334 for 992.
 
Davis shot in the mid-70s for a 235 shooting a 79 on day one and two before a 77 in the final round. Rylee Beard was 62^nd with a 245 (77-80-88) shooting a 77 on day one. Kirsten Bridges rounded out the top 80 in 78^th with a 248 (85-82-81). Her best round came in the final day with an 81.
 
Anastasia Stava came in 110^th with a 265 (90-86-89) and Halee Johnson was 114^th (97-89-88=274).
 
ETBU will travel to Abilene, Texas, for the HSU Invite next week.
