ABILENE, Texas – Playing in their final fall women's golf invitational for 2025, East Texas Baptist University finished fourth of seven teams at the Abilene Intercollegiate Classic hosted by Hardin-Simmons University. They had four golfers in the top 20 as Madisyn Davis led the way in seventh place.
 
ETBU shot a 672 and was 16 shots from third place as Schreiner University finished with a 656. The Tigers shot a 334 on day one and a 338 in the final round. Southwestern University won the invite with a 630 (319-311).
 
Davis played as an individual and finished in the top 10. She shot a 77 in the first round and an 83 in the second round for 160, just seven strokes off the medalist's score. Ella Barton came in 13^th with a 164, shooting an 80 and then an 84 in the second round. Rylee Beard was then 16^th with two rounds of 83 (166), and Hallie Westfall rounded out the top 20 with a 168 (84-84).
 
Kirsten Bridges came in 33^rd (87-87=174) while Halee Johnson was 39^th (94-91=185).
 
ETBU will next compete in the spring 2026.
